
Tuscan Seafood Stew (Cacciucco Livornese)
Ingredients (16)
- 12 oz baby octopus, cleaned, and cut into 1-inch pieces, if desired
- 12 oz fresh calamari
- 2 cup chopped fresh tomatoes, juice reserved
- 1 tbsp unsalted tomato paste
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 0.25 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 monkfish fillet, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 1 cup Seafood Stock or water
- 0.25 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 mullet or other white fish fillet, cut into 2-inch pieces
- 5 clove garlic, minced
- 0.5 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp minced fresh sage leaves
- 1 tbsp minced parsley
- 12 oz large shell-on shrimp
- 12 oz mussels (with shells) scrubbed and debearded
