- 1 lbs lean top sirloin steak (or use boneless, skinless chicken breasts or meatless chicken or steak strips)
- 2 lime juice only (1/3–1/2 cup)
- 2 tbsp vegetable or peanut oil
- 3 tbsp soy sauce reduced-sodium, (use wheat/gluten-free if needed)
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 green onion (scallion) thinly sliced
- 1 mango peeled and diced
- 1 small head Boston lettuce torn into bite-sized pieces
- 2 cup shredded carrots matchstick cut
- 0.5 cup fresh cilantro or basil chopped (optional)
