- for cooking rice:
- 1 cup rice
- 3.5 to 4 cups water,
- ½ teaspoon shahjeera
- 1 small tej patta
- ¼ teaspoon salt or add as per taste
- to be crushed to a paste:
- 3 medium sized garlic cloves
- ½ inch ginger
- ½ teaspoon fennel seeds
- 1 green cardamom
- 2 cloves
- ½ inch cinnamon
- other ingredients:
- 2 tablespoon oil
- ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 medium onion,
- 1 sprig curry leaves
- 1 green chili
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoon red chili powder
- 250 grams okra
- salt as required
- few chopped coriander leaves
