  • oil for deep frying,
  • to make kamal kakdi kofta gravy:
  • 235 grams tomatoes
  • 120 grams onions
  • 9 grams garlic
  • enough water for blanching
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 1 pinch of asafoetida
  • salt
  • 2.5 cups water
  • ¼ teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons chopped coriander leaves
  • 2 tablespoons milk or cream
