- for frying onions (birista):
- 1 to 2 tablespoon ghee

- for dum arbi gravy:
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
- ¼ cup full fat curd
- ¼ teaspoon grated nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon kashmiri red chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 cup water
