- 0.125 tsp black pepper 1/8-1/4, coarsely ground
- 4 filet mignon steaks (or beef tenderloin), 5 oz each, about 3/4 inch thick trimmed of fat
- 0.5 cup coffee or 1/2 cup water and 1 Tsp. instant coffee granules
- 2 tbsp bourbon
- 2 Worcestershire sauce
