Italian Angelica Cake / Torta

- FOR THE BIGA:
- 2 1/2 tablespoons lukewarm water
- 1/2 teaspoon honey
- 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
- FOR THE SWEET DOUGH:
- 1 1/2 cups +2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup milk*
- 2 large egg yolks*
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup butter softened
- *Remove from fridge 45-60 minutes before using.:
- EXTRAS:
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter melted
- 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
- VANILLA GLAZE:
- 1 cup powdered / icing sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1-2 tablespoons milk or cream
