  • 1 cup vodka
  • 1 large yellow onion diced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 pound whole wheat penne or similar whole wheat pasta
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast or Parmesan optional—use nutritional yeast to make dairy free or omit
