
Heirloom BLT Salad (with Coconut Bacon!)
Ingredients (16)
- 1 bunch kale
- 2 or more large heirloom tomatoes, cored and sliced into wedges
- 2 cups worth of whole grain bread, sliced or torn into bite-sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- sea salt
- 3 cups large, unsweetened coconut flakes (not regular shredded coconut!)
- 3 tablespoons reduced sodium tamari soy sauce
- 2 1/2 tablespoons Liquid Smoke
- 1 1/2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1 small lemon, juiced
- 1 tablespoon white miso (optional)
- 1 to 2 garlic cloves, pressed or minced
- 1 1/2 teaspoons maple syrup
- Dash of salt
- 1/3 cup water
