Polenta with Spicy Tomato Sauce
Ingredients (17)
- Polenta:
 - 8 Cups water
 - 5 Tablespoons olive oil
 - 2 Teaspoons salt
 - 2 Cups polenta (coarse cornmeal)
 - Freshly ground pepper
 - Spicy Tomato-Basil Sauce:
 - 2 (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes, with puree
 - 1/4 Cup pine nuts
 - 4 Tablespoons olive oil
 - 1/2 medium onion, chopped
 - 4-6 cloves garlic, chopped
 - 1/2 Teaspoon crushed red pepper (I doubled this to a full teaspoon.)
 - 1/2 Cup chopped fresh basil
 - 1/3 Cup dry white wine
 - 1 Teaspoon dried oregano
 - Salt and pepper
