Fried Mozzarella Balls
Ingredients (15)
- The Mozz Balls:
- 1 pound mozzarella balls, or chop up mozz into cubes
- 2 Cups bread crumbs, homemade if possible
- 4 sprigs fresh rosemary, chopped
- 2 garlic cloved, diced
- 1/2 Cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Oil for frying (Canola or vegetable)
- The Sauce: (I adapted this because I couldn't find any really stellar fresh tomatoes.):
- 1 15 ounce can fire roasted tomatoes
- 1/2 Medium onion, diced
- 1-2 garlic cloves, sliced
- 2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 3-4 dried Arbol peppers or 1 Teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Kosher salt and fresh pepper
